What you’ll learn in this week’s show:

(1:23min) - When you sign up with us, we send you the Logitech c920 HD Webcam and the Movo M1 USB lavalier mic to shoot great looking and sounding video right at your desk. However, if your computer is slower, you may find your audio does not match your video. If that's the case, we recommend you record your audio into your smartphone or a digital audio recorder simultaneously as you record your video.

When you upload your webcam video to us, also send us the audio file from your phone or digital audio recorder. We'll use the better audio file in editing. This is how movies are made - audio is always recorded secondary to the video and "synced" in editing. Traditionally, this is what a "slate" or "clapper" is used for to mark where the sound and video lines up in editing when the director says "Action!"

In this video you'll hear the difference between your webcam sound and the improved secondary audio sound. Currently, we recommend the Olympus Digital Voice Recorder WS-852 ($45) and the Pro Lavalier Lapel Microphone JK MIC-J 044 for Sennheiser Wireless Transmitter - Omnidirectional Condenser Mic ($30) for secondary, externally recorded audio. I also share my tips to property use a lav mic when you want to hide it or when recording in windy environments.

(12:18min) - Vyral Client Corvi Urling asks how to recruit loan officers to your branch using the same strategies we covered in Episode 8 on how to recruit real estate agents to your brokerage or team. It’s starts by positioning yourself as the teacher or educator to help loan officers succeed.

We recommend you buy or make a list of all the loan officers in your area who are productive. You may also have loan officers you’re connected with on LinkedIn or in your email database, too, so export those lists and identify the loan officers.

Next, call the loan officers up and ask if you can send them your two business coaching videos a month that will help them secure more referral partners and write more loans. Let them know you’re a successful branch manager and you want to share with them the strategies, and latest loan products, working for loan officers in your branch. Few people will turn you down and you’ll get permission to stay in touch.
