"I enjoy the creativity, the ideas. Iron sharpens iron. I enjoy seeing what other people have done and taking that and making it mine. [transcript]John: I am here with Karen Donovan, who is out of Largo, Florida. How long have you been a client, Karen?
Karen: Almost a year. I have two offices, one in Largo, Florida and one in Long Island, New York.
John: What kind of results have you seen with the Vyral Marketing program so far?
Karen: The videos are starting to get my clients and people I’ve been sending them to to notice them. It progressed to the point where some past clients who bought a home from me 14 years ago called me up and said they wanted to list their house. In talking to them, they said, “You stayed in touch with us, and the videos are wonderful. We bought our house through someone else and she wanted to list our old one, but we said that we had to have Karen because she has been in touch with us.” That’s the first time where I was like, “Wow, that’s really cool.”
John: That’s great, and that’s the way the program is supposed to work. In regard to your return on investment, have you been able to measure it yet?
Karen: Not yet. I figure I have to give it at least a year or so. I’m in it for the long haul. Now I have a new development which seems like it’s going to really pay off.
John: Go back about a year. Why did you hire Vyral Marketing to begin with?
Karen: I watched the videos, became familiar with them because I am a Real Geeks client. I checked out the website and I thought it was really cool. Then my husband and I were speaking and we decided that this would be something we would really like to do. It was daunting in the beginning because we had two companies. We wanted to do regular informational videos for our clients and sphere of influence but then we also wanted to do the career blogs because we wanted to recruit. We have got a system down now and it’s really been easy. We’re happy we made the decision.
John: Was there ever any thought of trying to do this yourself?
Karen: We did do this ourselves and have a lot of crazy videos out there, but they’re not professional. I still do things like BombBomb videos, but the consistency of Vyral is hands-down way better than doing it ourselves.
John: Were there any fears you had before signing up with us?
Karen: Undertaking another marketing plan. At first it seemed like it would be more time-consuming, but overall I don’t think I was really worried about anything else. It wasn’t about getting in front of the camera. I just went and did it.
John: What would you say you enjoy most about working with us?
Karen: I enjoy the creativity, the ideas. Iron sharpens iron. I enjoy seeing what other people have done and taking that and making it mine. I have met a lot of really cool people and made some good relationships with other people in the program. It’s phenomenal. The other thing that’s cool is along with the creativity, I took the idea of the magic seller letter because I needed to recruit. I lost one of my top producers and did all the usual recruiting stuff, but wasn’t coming up with any candidates. My husband came up with the idea of the magical seller letter and I sent one out to my fellow Realtors. I’ve gotten some really good inquiries, and one that I’m probably going to hire. I think it’s the combination of the video in contrast with sending a regular email. I think it’s brilliant. I also can’t say enough about my coach, Matt, because I came to him with this idea on a Thursday, and by Friday they had this letter out for me. That day I got a call from a girl who wanted to come and work for me.
John: That’s great. There are going to be some people thinking about hiring Vyral Marketing that are listening to this. What do you say to them?
Karen: If you are in a position to do this at all, with a client base of any substance, you are wasting valuable resources if you don’t consider video. The consistency of it, that’s where Vyral comes in. Every two weeks, you’re going out there whether you know it or not. That’s it.
John: You’ve had success within a year. What tips do you give people that are looking to get success on the program?
Karen: Just jump in and do it. You don’t have to overthink it. Just be consistent, listen to your coach, and when they call you up to ask about your video, just get it in. Just do it.
John: Thanks, Karen
Karen: You are very welcome, John.
