Today we’re going to talk about updating missing phones and email addresses. Now, this is something that we don’t do for you at Vyral, but this topic might be helpful for you if you value it.
So now that everything has been exported, how do you do this? We use MyEmma, the email marketing program that we use to get results for you. It’s been cleaned and scrubbed through NeverBounce (which we discussed last week), and it’s been fully deduplicated (a complimentary service from MyEmma).
So by now, you’ll have a whole list of all your contacts ready to receive emails from you. That same list is loaded into Facebook so that you can reach all of them either through email marketing or via Facebook Ads.
However, you are likely missing phone numbers and physical mailing addresses for many, if not most, of your contracts. If so, you’re not alone, but only having names and emails isn’t very helpful. So when you get the report back of all the people clicking the links in your emails, you’ll want to have an accurate phone number so that it’s easy to call them. It’s helpful to get this up front, but it isn’t necessary.
You also want an old-school postal mailing address for your best contacts so you can send them a monthly print letter, too. On the Vyral plan, not only do you want to send out two educational videos a month, but you also want to reach a small segment of your top contacts.
One of the big reasons you’ll need to have the latest phone number and mailing address on file for your database is that there are services that will monitor your contacts and tells you when they are likely to buy or sell a home. One of these services is called Likely.ai. The more information you provide to these services, the more accurate reports you’ll get. This service will send you emails when the system thinks that a contact is likely to sell. Another service to mention is called Sales Boomerang. With this, you can upload a database, and the service will link up to your contacts’ credit reports.
Ultimately, the No.1 way to create a correct phone number or mailing address is to ask your contacts for them directly, and to give them a compelling reason to do so. There is no better way to build a list than to do it manually.
