He generated 27 opt-in agent recruiting leads

I want to share a story about a client who asked us to grow his Utah brokerage.

Here’s the agent training blog we built and run for him: www.KWUtahCoach.com. That’s designed to nurture his existing agent relationships into appointments.

However, Josh needed help building his database of agents likely to switch brokerages soon. We ran that list on Courted.io, and 988 perfect-fit agents matched their criteria; a few years in the business, selling a handful of deals a year.

These agents do not know Josh. He is a stranger to them. It’s a very cold list.

To fix that, he hired a calling assistant to introduce him to the first 250 agents on the list, offering them a free list of 642 highly likely seller leads in the desirable 84124 zip code.

The live call script was simple:

  1. I work for Josh Stern with Keller Williams Utah. He asked me to call and see if you list homes in Holiday or Mill Creek. Do you work in that area?… Yes.

  2. I have permission to email you 624 very good seller leads there. It’s a free gift from Josh. May I email them to you?… Okay.

His assistant also sent them an email, left a voicemail, and texted them as well. When the agent replied “yes”, his assistant sent the list over and added them to his database to get his helpful videos with the ultimate goal of scheduling a free business planning call.

The results? He added 27 permission-based perfect-fit agent recruits to his database in 5 days. At a cost $2.50 a name for his assistant, that’s only $23 a lead. That’s excellent!

The lesson here is that if you need to build your database, consider purchasing a list of your target market and hiring someone to introduce you to them by offering a gift. When they accept, send them the gift and add them to your helpful nurture videos with us.
